Delivery, Inc. has always strived to be at the cutting edge
of technology and to utilize that technology in innovative
and valuable ways. Our goal has never been technology for
technology’s sake, rather it has been to add value to the
information that we have to better serve our clients. Three
of our most important technologies are our Communication
equipment, ICAD software and our Bar coding system.
To
ensure constant communication between our couriers and
dispatchers, NCM utilizes a combination of devices. All of
our couriers are equipped with an alpha numeric pager as
well as a Nextel two way radio. The pagers allow dispatchers
to send job details to the couriers at a touch of a button.
The Nextel two way radio allows the couriers instant contact
with the office. These two communication devices give NCM
couriers the instant and accurate information they need to
produce efficient and timely deliveries. |

ICAD
is our Intelligent Computer Aided Dispatch. ICAD uses a
computerized map to pinpoint all couriers and jobs. ICAD has
the ability to suggest the optimal courier for each new job.
It considers driver location, time of delivery as well as
courier’s work load. ICAD calculates the ETA of every stop
for each courier and alerts dispatch if the courier is
projected to be late. This system reduces drive times,
maximizes driver work loads and productivity.
NCM’s
bar coding system was developed in 1998 to improve our
accuracy and efficiency in manifesting each delivery. This
system allows NCM scan in each package and then produce
custom reports. After scanning, the bar code system produces
Courier Delivery Manifests, Courier Pay Manifests, Client
Billing Manifest and allows our employees fingertip access
to all delivery information. The system also has the
capability to email daily manifests back to you, our client.
Because of our scanning technology, NCM is able to provide
immediate response to delivery questions. |
